Refund & Returns Policy

Go Electric Mobility (PTY) Ltd T/A Evolve Skateboards South Africa stands behind the quality of our products. If something isn’t right, we are committed to resolving it fairly and efficiently in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).

1. Returns Window (Change of Mind)

Our return policy lasts 7 days from the date your order is delivered. This aligns with the 7-day "cooling-off" period provisioned by the ECT Act.

If 7 days have passed since your purchase was delivered, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange for "change of mind" requests.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To qualify for a return (Change of Mind):

• The item must be unused, unridden, and in the same condition that you received it.

• The item must be in its original packaging, including all accessories, manuals, and protective materials.

• You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

Important – Electric Skateboards Due to safety, hygiene, and lithium battery regulations:

• Electric skateboards that have been ridden, used, charged, paired to an app, or show signs of wear cannot be returned for a refund due to change of mind.

• All returned boards undergo a strict technical inspection before any refund is approved.

3. Defective Products (CPA Warranty)

In accordance with the South African Consumer Protection Act, all our goods carry a standard 6-month implied warranty against defects.

If your product turns out to be defective, unsafe, or fails for a reason other than normal wear and tear or user abuse within 6 months of delivery, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

• Reporting: Please report defects immediately to hello@rideevolve.co.za.

• Assessment: We reserve the right to inspect the product to confirm the defect is a manufacturing fault and not caused by negligence, water damage, or unauthorized modifications.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected at our facility, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

• Approved: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within a reasonable processing period (subject to your bank's processing times).

• Partial Refunds: We may grant only partial refunds (or reject the return) if:

  • The item is not in its original condition, is damaged, or has missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

  • The item is returned more than 7 days after delivery.

5. Sale Items

• Change of Mind: Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale or discounted items cannot be refunded for "change of mind."

• Defective Sale Items: This policy does not limit your statutory rights. If a sale item is defective or faulty, the standard CPA warranty still applies.

6. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please send us an email at hello@rideevolve.co.za prior to shipping.

7. Shipping Your Return

Shipping Costs:

• Change of Mind: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. These shipping costs are non-refundable.

• Defective Items: If the return is due to a defect or an error on our part, we will arrange for the collection or reimburse the shipping costs.

8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet:

1. Check your bank account again.

2. Contact your credit card company (it may take some time before your refund is officially posted).

3. Contact your bank (there is often some processing time before a refund is posted).
